Superior Essex is proud to announce that it has been named Best Global Wire & Cable Products Manufacturer & Recognized Leader in Fiber Optic Communications by the TMT Telecoms Awards. The TMT Telecom Awards were created to reward and recognize the telecommunications service providers and technology innovators in this vital and dynamic sector. Superior Essex was honored with this award for its continued efforts in devising and promoting sustainable cable manufacturing practices, including its industry-first Zero Waste to Landfill certification for its copper cable manufacturing facility in Hoisington, Kansas.
Over the past decade, Superior Essex has actively sought to reduce its global environmental footprint through a variety of sustainability initiatives. This includes its robust materials and resource recycling and conservation efforts, through which the company has saved millions of kilowatt hours of electricity and hundreds of millions of gallons of fresh water each year, as well as one of the most effective waste diversion strategies in the U.S., culminating in its Zero Waste to Landfill certification.
“This award is an honor and validation for all those at Superior Essex who worked tirelessly over the last decade to meet the goals of our sustainability initiatives,” says Will Bryan, Vice President of Technology and Market Development at Superior Essex. “We are proud to be inspiring change in our industry through our efforts to become more environmentally responsible, and to be paving the way for other organizations to do the same.”
“To be recognized by the TMT Awards is a great honor and an affirmation of the value we see in sustainability, and the opportunities it provides us to make positive change,” says Brad Johnson, President of Superior Essex Communications division. “As a global leader in this sector, we will continue to promote sustainable practices whenever possible, and to remain transparent in our efforts.”
