CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich., Oct. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Industrial@Amphenol, a leader in industrial interconnect products, now offers a series of compact, adaptable and rugged metal (rm) circular connectors available in seven shell sizes and 25 insert arrangements with a variety of wire gauge options. The new ecomate rm® quick locking, bayonet coupling connector system offers a wide variety of insert configurations as well as high amperage versions for single pole, high power arrangements featuring RADSOK technology.
Designed for use in robotics, industrial, packaging as well as hybrid electric transportation applications, these connectors are ideal for use in the most demanding of environments. The ecomate rm is both water resistant and corrosion resistant.
The economical series is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and offers the flexibility of machined, stamped and formed or PCB contact options. It offers EMI/RMI shielding capability when paired with an easy-to-install back shell. The connector series provides an operating temperature range of -40 degrees C to +150 degrees C and can withstand up to 500 mating cycles certified to UL ECBT2.
Ecomate rm high amperage connectors are designed to conduct large currents and high voltage with design features that include Amphenol’s patented RADSOK technology in single or multi-pole configurations.
These high reliability, RoHS-compliant connectors offer seven shell sizes and contact sizes ranging from 3.6 mm to 10 mm. They feature an operating temperature range of -40 degrees C to +125 degrees C, and operating voltage of 630 V as well as a current rating of 86 A to 300 A at 25 degrees C. These circular connectors also feature high mating cycle durability.
Ecomate rm’s variety of inserts, contacts and shell size options were developed to complement Industrial@Amphenol’s flagship line of plastic circular connectors known industry-wide as “ecomate”. These rugged metal shielded connectors can be re-engineered to offer new insert layouts for single and multi-pin interconnect systems.
