Veteran logistics compliance professional will support company’s supply chain regulatory efforts.
LLFlex – a global leader in packaging materials and industrial laminate solutions for the building & construction, wire & cable, and tobacco packaging industries, has hired Kelly M. Steward as Trade Compliance Manager. In this role, Steward is responsible for running the Foreign Trade Zones in Kentucky and North Carolina, managing relationships with US Commerce and CBP, reviewing and analyzing import/export tax/duty changes globally, and helping ensure we are optimizing both the buying and selling supply chains for LLFlex customers, sales agents and suppliers.
Prior to joining LLFlex, Steward served 13 years at the United Parcel Service in various Customs Brokerage positions. In her most recent position as Compliance Supervisor, she successfully bridged the gap between internal operations and external regulations. Ms. Steward’s leadership skills and proven track record providing applicable solutions puts her on firm footing in her new role at LLFlex.
For the construction sector, LLFlex provides a full line of laminated insulation and radiant barrier facers designed to meet the industry’s exacting requirements for gas & moisture barrier, product adhesion, reflectivity, durability, and longevity. For the wire & cable industry, the company’s Reyshield™ Cable Wrap yields a line of mono layer film formulations using uniform, high quality resins throughout the structure for consistent, reliable long-term performance. For tobacco companies, LLFlex is North America’s largest supplier of cigarette inner bundling material, as well as custom-printed laminations for cigar, pipe and smokeless tobacco.
“Kelly’s extensive experience assuring supply chain measures align with industry standards will serve her well at LLFlex,” said Curt Conley, Director of Global Supply Chain. “With LLFlex steadily expanding its footprint, including a new facility opening soon in North Carolina, it is crucial that we continue handling trade compliance issues seamlessly. With the current trade environment, adding Kelly was a strategic decision that will ensure LLFlex has the best in class global trade situation to support our customers and suppliers”
