L-com Global Connectivity, a preferred manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, announced today that it has launched two new series of slim-line 28 AWG Ethernet patch cables.
L-com’s new slim-line 28 AWG Ethernet patch cables are engineered for high-density patching applications. The patent pending spline-free design offers a reduced diameter profile, ideal for applications that require a smaller, more flexible cable. The low-profile short boot design saves additional space on the patch panel, giving a clean, organized look to patch bays.
“L-com’s slim-line high-performance cable assemblies offer a 38% smaller cross-sectional area and a tighter bend radius than standard patch cables. This improves airflow in high-density patching applications and saves space in confined areas,” said Dave Gallagher, Product Manager.
These cables are available in performance ratings of Category 6 (TRD628BL-series) and Category 6A (TRD628ABL- series) and support data rates up to 10Gbps for high-speed voice, video, and data applications. They feature high-performance RJ45 plugs with molded boots and 50u gold plated contacts. The slim-line 28 AWG Ethernet patch cables are available off-the-shelf in lengths of 1 ft, 3 ft, 5 ft, 7 ft, 10 ft and 14 ft, or in custom length and color variations.
