Hengtong Cable Australia (HCA) will supply 7.4km of 33kV cable for the second stage of the Goyder-to-BESS project to United Group (UGL).

Stage 2 will add a further 227 MW / 907 MWh of storage capacity, matching Stage 1 (currently under construction by UGL for Neoen and Tesla), and will bring the total capacity of Goyder Battery to 454 MW / 1,814 MWh.

UGL will deliver balance-of-plant works, including civil, electrical, and high-voltage infrastructure installation for Tesla’s new Megablock technology, as well as testing and commissioning of the balance of plant.
