Goodtech has entered into three contracts with Mekanisk Service Halden AS (MSH) for deliveries to Nexans Norway AS’s HVDC Expansion Project. MSH was recently awarded one of the main contracts in the project and, together with Goodtech, will be responsible for the delivery of necessary production equipment.

The total value of the contracts between Goodtech and MSH is approximately NOK 27 million. The project will start on 3 January 2022 and delivery to Nexans is planned for September 2023. When the project is completed, Nexans will have a significantly increased production capacity for HVDC cables.

Goodtech’s core competence in the development of smart production solutions for industry will be central to the project. The company will contribute with an interdisciplinary team with responsibility for project management, design, engineering services and testing in connection with the commissioning of the plant.

Goodtech has together with MSH shown that local companies have the competence and competitiveness enough to win in strong competition with international players. Purchasing Manager Lennart Wedel-Jarlsberg of Nexans confirms this:

“We have collaborated with both Goodtech and MSH for a long time, and have very good experience with the companies. Quality and competence are important when we automate and streamline our operations, and Goodtech and MSH delivered their offer in line with our requirements and expectations.”

Margrethe Hauge, CEO of Goodtech, is also pleased:

“This is a project where Goodtech’s interdisciplinary expertise will be a very important part of MSH’s delivery to Nexans. The project also confirms our good and long-term collaboration with the end customer Nexans, and we look forward to working with MSH in an exciting project.”
