Cimteq is delighted to announce that it will be exhibiting at Wire China, Asia’s largest cable trade show.
The event takes place in Shanghai from 23 to 26 September 2020 and offers access to some 1,600 exhibitors. It’s the first live event Cimteq will be attending since the arrival of Covid-19 and the company will be sited in Hall 1, W1A04.
Mike Braddock, Cimteq CEO, explains why they are continuing with their plans: “Whilst we appreciate the seismic impact that Covid-19 has had on global health and the global economy, we believe the time is right to return to a live demonstration environment. We were particularly reassured by the agility of the trade fair organisers Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute Ltd and the Metallurgical Council of China in setting up a Covid-19 emergency team consisting of project team leaders, risk management and legal experts. As an exhibitor, we too have all appropriate protocols and measures in place to protect our attending staff and delegates.
“We’ve got so much to talk about in terms of product development at the show, not least our new off-the-shelf, cloud-based product ‘CableBuilder Go’ as well as our latest iteration of CableBuilder3D which is particularly suited to prototyping speciality cables and subsea cables.”
Cimteq’s APAC Regional Sales Manager, Yufei Du, will be presenting an update on The Smart Factory; in particular, how Industry 4.0 technologies can support acceleration from lockdown. Industry 4.0 is of course very much on the agenda of Chinese cable manufacturers as the Chinese Government accelerates its ‘Made in China 2025’ project.
