Cimteq to host its first webinar on Industry 4.0/Smart Factory

Cimteq, leading worldwide provider of software solutions specific to the cable manufacturing industry is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its first webinar on Industry 4.0/Smart Factory on Wednesday 8 May.

The webinar will be personally hosted by Ali Shehab, Cimteq CEO, and will explore how to best implement the use of smart assets in a factory – not only by adapting working practices but also adapting mindsets in communication, continuous improvement and collaboration.  Ali was a key force behind the development of Cimteq’s CableBuilder some 20 years ago, with the ambition of freeing cable design engineers from the tedium of repetitive daily tasks and allowing them to get back to creative thought. CableBuilder continues to be the cable design software of choice for cable manufacturers large and small across the globe.

The Industry 4.0/Smart Factory webinar provides a taster of the themes Ali will discuss during his participation in the Technical Programme at Interwire 2019, taking place later in May at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The webinar will be introduced by Katy Harrison, Cimteq’s Marketing Manager followed by Ali’s 20-minute presentation which will explore the following themes:

  • How big data, digital twining and the Internet of Things are impacting on cable production
  • How automation and communication can be used to reduce cost, improve speed and add value

The session will end with a Q&A session and with the opportunity for participants to secure a slot for a live demonstration at Interwire 2019.

Cimteq will be sending out official invitations to its community over the coming weeks and a recording of the webinar will be made available to all interested parties who are unable to attend on 8 May.  If you would like further information on the webinar or would like to register your interest, please contact Katy Harrison, Marketing Manager katy.harrison@cimteq.com.
